Absolutely not. The artificial grass is of such high quality that dog faeces and urine do not affect it in the slightest, and we can show you installations that are over twelve years old which have not been damaged by the activities of active dogs.

Installing artificial grass is not much more complicated than laying carpet in a house. However, the subsoil must be well prepared to ensure the ground is level, with appropriate slopes for water drainage and to prevent weed growth. Then, the grass needs to be laid over an anti-root fabric, placed in the correct direction, and well planned to minimize wastage from trimming. If you are very handy, we can advise you on how to do the installation or parts of it yourself.

We deeply analyze aspects such as dimensions, terrain unevenness, soil type, drainage conditions, among many other factors. Thanks to this comprehensive diagnosis before installation, we can select the ideal artificial grass product and guarantee spectacular results.
Generally, to maintain beautiful artificial grass, you should clean it of any dry leaves that may have fallen from trees. This can be done with a blower or any brush at hand. In summer, if it doesn’t rain for weeks, a hose shower to remove dust will be beneficial. The same should be done on very hot days to keep the grass cooler. Once a year, it’s good to give it a strong brushing with a machine or by hand. In high-traffic areas, like narrow pathways, the fibers can become flattened. Therefore, we recommend creating paths with other materials, like lava slates, decorative gravel, etc.
From our experience, we can say that for the first eight years, we haven’t seen changes in the installations we’ve done. The first artificial grass we installed was 12 years ago in a 1,200 square meter garden in El Paraíso Medio. At that time, types filled with sand were still used. Every year we’ve added a bit of sand and brushed the entire lawn with a special machine. To this day, the grass has not lost any of its color. At first glance, it looks like the first day. In high-traffic areas, the fibers no longer stand up as well. But we’re sure that its owners will enjoy it for a few more years.
